What was it like in Sao Paulo?
‘Sao Paulo is the largest city in South America and the third largest in the world with over 10 million inhabitants. It’s a cosmopolitan city and it’s also known as “Brazil’s Engine” where the business happens. I am proud of my city. It’s a lively, fast-paced and we get to see people from all over the world, even though Brazil is a huge country. In Sao Paulo you can fine the best pizza outside of Italy, the best sushi outside of Japan and the best burgers outside of the US!’

What is your working background?
‘My degree in Management & International Trade allowed me t explore international relations which I continue to find fascinating. Through my previous roles across retail, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce I’ve had the opportunity to travel four continents, establishing business relationships and expanding my knowledge.’

When did you first hear about Social Selling?
‘I had my first contact with it when I applied for my current role online. I was amazed by the fact that I could coach and help professionals to reach their goals using social media, something I have been using for years and have a certain ‘intimacy’ with. From that point I already knew I wanted to work with Social Selling for sure!’

What does a Social Selling coach do?
‘I guide B2B professionals in identifying and connecting with their target audience, how to efficiently create a pipeline of prospects and how to prioritize their professional profiles, relationships and daily behavior within the digital marketing environment.’

What is the most beautiful thing about this job?
‘Through coaching conversations with leaders and their teams I help identify practical steps towards achieving an organization’s goals and showcase the effectiveness of social selling tools. What makes me the proudest about my job is hearing back from individuals who I coach that they are now able to do something new which inspires them and makes their lives easier.

Who or what brought you here to Amsterdam?
‘The first time my feet touched the ground in Amsterdam I knew deep down that I belong here! A cousin of mine got happily married with a half Dutch, half Brazilian partner and moved here around 13 years ago. They now have a family with 2 beautiful kids, and I decided to move here to be closer to them after living in London for 3 years where I was studying and developing my career. I have lived here in Amsterdam for over a year now.’

Do you like it here compared to what you’re used to?
‘I love Amsterdam with all my heart; this is the place I call home, not just because of family and friends, but also because the people and the culture make me feel welcome and loved. I often say that Amsterdam gives me back all the love that I give to it on a daily basis.’

What are you looking forward to do or learn?
‘I learned early on in my career that what motivates me is discovering and nurturing people’s most powerful skills and experiencing new cultures. I want to keep on learning and helping individuals and companies to achieve their goals by using my experience and passion.’

Where will you be five years from now?
“One’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions. – Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. I want to explore new ideas, keep on learning from others and develop my resilience to become the best and happiest version of myself.’
