It’s Tricycle Employee in the Spotlight time! We are very excited to show you a little more of Tricycle’s employees’ side. Therefore, we want to celebrate having a unique and international team every month by spotlighting one of our Tricycle family members. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to interview Allison Meekins – Account Manager. Let’s discover what she has to tell us in her Employee in the Spotlight interview!

Working at Tricycle has been a transformative experience for me. I’ve been with the company for nearly 5 years, and throughout this time, I’ve not only professionally developed, but had the space to personally develop equally as much.

From working as a Social Selling Coach two days a week for Microsoft, to initiating the Learning & Growth internal department, to coaching Managing Directors, CEO’s and Board Members at our top clients (Accenture, Citrix, Signify, etc.)to now leading our internal Strategy Initiatives and driving commercial success with our clients as an Account Manager, I’ve been able to bring my superpowers and learn a lot along the way while working here. Our open-minded, fast-paced, and future-focused team keeps things exciting and focused on growth at the individual, organizational and client-facing levels.

Where have you lived in your life?

I lived in Phoenix, AZ; Folsom, CA; Chico, CA; Uppsala, Sweden; Haarlem, NL; Bay Area, CA; and now, in Zwolle, NL.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

I think it was for my 6th birthday. My parents surprised me that we were going to go to DisneylandThey hid clues all around the house for me to findI needed to put all the clues together to discover what the gift was. After I learned what the gift was, we packed and drove off immediately from Arizona to Disneyland in California for a weekend trip.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I’ve received so much good advice so it’s difficult to pick the best one of all time. The one that has been most relevant for me this year: “Sometimes you have to slow down, to speed up.” -Peter Koijen

What is the coolest thing about your job?

I really like that our company is future-oriented. In my role, I am co-creating with leading tech companies how to incorporate and scale Social Business approaches to support them with staying ahead of the curve.

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

The first ‘large’ purchase I remember was a TV set with a VCR (& DVD?)set attached to it. It was silver and a good size and screen resolution for the time. I did a lot of research on price/quality, reviews, and evaluation of how the product would serve my needs. I was so proud of my purchase!

If you could travel in time, where would you go?

To go to my 80th birthday party.

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

Mine! Deep listening & giving undivided attention, observing verbal and nonverbal patterns, channeling love, initiating and inspiring other people to initiate!

What’s your favorite inspirational quote for the upcoming year?

“In every breath, we choose the destination of our lives.” – Allison Meekins
