It’s Tricycle Employee in the Spotlight time! We are very excited to show you a little more of Tricycle’s employees’ side. Therefore, we want to celebrate having a unique and international team every month by spotlighting one of our Tricycle family members. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to interview Job Thomassen – Account & Customer Success Manager. Let’s discover what he has to tell us in his Employee in the Spotlight interview!

“I help our clients to succeed in digital selling, building thought leadership and sales in general. Together with our, clients I create the programs tailor-made for their needs. I like to see how different companies work, and I’m learning as much from them, as they from me – if not more. Also I really enjoy working with people (both colleagues and clients) from different cultures. It gives me the feeling that I am traveling, although I am working from home.

JobWhere have you lived in your life?

I have always lived in Amsterdam. I have traveled a lot, but never actually lived somewhere else. I have been in Australia and New Zealand for almost a year, but I was traveling across the countries so I guess it does not count as living somewhere else.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

There are many, but I guess the feeling I had on the last school day. The first day of the summer vacation was definitely great!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t worry about the future, or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.

What is the coolest thing about your job?

I loved traveling, but nowadays I would say working with people from so many different backgrounds.

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

I think a mobile phone, a Nokia 3310.

If you could time travel, when and where would you go?

Interesting one. I think I would love to go to the past, see dinosaurs, the hanging gardens of Babylon and the Roman Empire. But I think it would be even more interesting to see how the world looks in, let’s say, 100 years from now, or maybe 1000. Let’s go to the year 2500.

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

Time-traveling would be definitely super cool! I think I’ll pick that one.

What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

There’s only one moment in which you can arrive in time. If you’re not there, you’re either too early or too late.
