It’s Tricycle Employee in the Spotlight time! We are very excited to show you a little more of Tricycle’s employees’ side. Therefore, we want to celebrate having a unique and international team every month by spotlighting one of our Tricycle family members. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to interview Sarah Loessner – Digital Business Consultant. Let’s discover what she has to tell us in her Employee in the Spotlight interview!

“From the very first contact with Tricycle I was very enthusiastic. The role, our solutions and the corporate culture appealed to me immediately. I started as a consultant and I am looking forward to moving more and more into strategy and management. I have the exciting opportunity to work with world-leading companies, different departments and roles – and that all over the globe. It is a great pleasure for me to put myself in the shoes of our clients and to work together with them on developing successful strategies. I have already worked with more than 15 different countries and cultures and I am looking forward to what is to come. Also, I really enjoy the cooperation with my woooonderful colleagues and I am proud to be part of the Tricycle family.”

SarahWhere have you lived in your life?

Germany, Netherlands, and longer travels (I very quickly feel at home) to Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Being in the nature a lot with my family. I have therefore always had a close connection with nature and animals.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“A lot of things only happen in your head”. Every human being tends to overthink and relies less on facts. In addition, we often perceive “our truth” as the only truth. However, there are many more things to consider and how we evaluate situations based on our feeling and own experiences. The reality is often different and what we are worrying about actually only “happens in our head”. We should also put ourselves in the shoes of others and try to understand the bigger picture. This tip has helped me understand that we judge many things and tend to only look at our own point of view. Following this advice helps me communicate better, make things less complicated than they should be and live more in the here and now. It is important to listen to yourself, but also to approach things openly. It helps me not only in my private life, but also in my job. Many thanks to my dad for this wisdom!

What is the coolest thing about your job?

There are many areas of my job that I really enjoy, such as working in the fast-paced technology industry, following the latest trends, working with people globally, getting to know different cultures, having great colleagues from all over the world and much more. But the really “cool” thing about my job is that we are future-oriented, I can fulfill myself and at the same time work in the interest of the company.

It gives me great pleasure to collaborate with our world-leading clients in the technology sector on successful and forward-looking strategies and projects. In my experience so far, I have learned that cooperation is most successful when you truly try to understand each other and grow with the project. Every industry is unique, every company, every role and most importantly; every individual. If you respond to the challenges and goals of each individual, you can initiate successful transformations together. Only those who continue to develop, being innovative and flexible – can really grow. I look forward to continuing to implement many exciting projects and to learning from each other!

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

I cannot remember what the very first thing was, but probably a big portion of fries with my best friend at the swimming lake 🙂

If you could time travel, when and where would you go?

Back to the 70s! I would dance and sing with John Travolta in the film “Grease”.

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

To be able to teleport myself to travel anywhere. Maybe that will be possible someday 😉

What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

“Be the change you wish to see in the world”, the short version of the original quote of Ghandi “We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.”
